Driving Training Program
Which work-related tasks carry the most risk?
If you survey your workplace, you may find, as
others have, that most employees rank driving
as their riskiest activity in India.
Most of the companies in India found that approx
80 per cent of its staff indicated they feel most
at risk of injuries while driving on the job,
or to and from work and also in their personnel
life. This perception is valid.
In fact, the transportation sector had the highest
proportion of casualties. Nevertheless almost
all industry divisions reported significant deaths
and injuries due to "Vehicle related accidents."
Many statistics of any company may not capture
the full extent of the problem. This is because
they only include lost time injuries resulting
from motor vehicle collisions that are work-related.
They do not include incidents that are not directly
work related, such as commuting.
